What is uses this building?
Inside there is only one courtroom, but it is the most powerful court in the country. If a case already in court somewhere else, and nobody can figure apparently disappeared out what is fair, the case to the Supreme Court will go in order to solve the problem.
Why is it important?
When the colonists decided they wanted to become a country, the leaders came together and wrote the Constitution so that all fair was treated. Each of the 50 states has its own laws, but they all must follow the laws of the country, too. Sometimes a law is written as a confusing can understand the way anyone know what it means. The judges, to be made in the Supreme Court of the work of new laws, they have the task of finding out what the Law says, and if the law is fair. The Supreme Court is to ensure every person is guaranteed their constitutional rights. If a person has a test in another court had, but the judge could not make a decision, or it does not seem like the decision was fair, the case is finally in the Supreme Court, so that the judges who work there can make a final decision. All other courts in America have to follow what it says, the Supreme Court. It is important that all Americans, rich or poor, are equal. The Supreme Court shall ensure that some people are not treated worse just because they are a certain color or have not lot of money. Even the president has to listen to what the Supreme Court.
