Imagine if someone would say, "I love to play piano, I have never studied music, but I want to bang away on the keys. I know what feels good, and that's what counts. "
Most of us would find that rather odd … and yet many people do essentially the same approach to dance. They say, "Yes, when it comes to dance, I know not with all those fancy dance styles seem to mind. Instead, I am freestyle – I just sort of to rule, or shake it about. It's fun. "More often than not though, the results are less than elegant. The dancing can still be fun, but it requires the bar rather low.
This approach reveals a common misunderstanding about what is good to dance freestyle. You can have fun only by shaking one of the spoils have around, have in the same way that you enjoy banging away at the piano. Both the dancers and the piano player, but are not on an unexplored world of pleasure.
Let's again the piano analogy. You could just bang away at the keys, it might be fun, but the result would probably not have much skill. Or one could learn specific musical pieces. Alternatively, you could learn to play jazz improvisation – "Freestyle" but with musicality and intentionality. The latter two approaches can be satisfactory and good, but in different ways.
In the same could be only by shaking or swaying dance around. what many people think as "optional" Or you could provide some specific dance styles, such as the waltz or the Charleston . Learning Or you could just improvise steps, but this in a way that complements the creative music. The second approach is what dance freestyle for the quality.
To be fair, there is a reason why most of us would never think of just banging away on the piano keys. This is because there is very little satisfaction the striking of the keys in an unstructured way, whereas the won will move to the music (even a bit random) tended to have more fun. Nevertheless, by learning a few important principles that can be done, dancing much more fun and look much better in the process.
First, a good freestyler will try to the music underscore. This can be done by clapping of hands, such as pumps or arms during key beats in the music. One of my favorite techniques It is easy to freeze when the music break. Consider the song "Jingle Bell Rock" for example. It is a distinctive break in the music during the line "Now the jingle hop has begun." This is a good time at the place to simply freeze, perhaps with a dramatic flourish of the hands. This simple Technology can make you look like a real professional, and it feels just as satisfying.
Second, a good freestyler will often draw on other musical styles. For instance, throw it out in a few swing or cha cha steps and again, perhaps changing it slightly. Or he could just chucked a few dance steps that he had seen in a music video. Basically, the greater your arsenal of dance moves, the better the results.
Does this mean that you have to take expensive dance lessons? At all not. Many places have cheap ballroom dancing with a free swing, Latin or dance lessons for beginners. Many dance studios offer group classes to bring affordable Alternative to private lessons. There are also a variety of excellent dance DVDs that you can rent or buy, added from the public. Heck, one can always see some music videos, or dancing and try to break the moves. (I have found that Motown dance moves are very easy to follow.)
Finally be creative with your movements. The biggest problem with just shaking or swaying about is that boring. Finally, no one can shake or sway to the beat. Why not add some moving on Grander your repertoire? Try to stride boldly or snapping your fingers in the air. You can use the great efforts with a small Throw a fist pump or accentuate. A simple do-si-do can move you to see both relaxed and creative at the same time.
Ultimately, it does not take much. A little effort is all it takes to make it look to a freestyle dance impressive – and there will be much more fun addition.
